Single Stream Recycling Program
A blue recycling bin is located next to the Ward of South Lake quonset. The recycling does not have to be sorted and should NOT be in plastic bags.
This is a sponsored program and all residents are encouraged to recycle and please adhere to the following guidelines. Information is located on the bin but if you need further clarification feel free to contact the office.
ITEMS ACCEPTED:
- Paper and cardboard
- Plastic (look for the recycling triangle on the bottom of the container where you will find numbers 1 through 7)
- Milk cartons/jugs, shrink wrap, plastic bags
- Tin and aluminum cans
ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED ARE:
- Glass
- Styrofoam
- Ceramics
- Light bulbs
- Soiled cardboard
- Hazardous chemical containers
- Scrap metal
- Car parts
- Plastic toys
- Household garbage
Please do not throw these items in the recycling bin or they may contaminate the whole load which will then have to be taken to the landfill!
