Huge Shout Out
Council wants to acknowledge the people/businesses that gave so generously to make our new basketball court a reality at Loney’s Point this past summer.
Thanks again, the kids have all been enjoying it and it will continue to be used for years to come!
Cypress Paving Ltd. * Holly Beattie * Scott & Dolly Gilroy * The McRitchie Family * Veroba’s Family Restaurant
Council would also like to thank Sask Promo for doing such a great job on the custom backboard displaying all these names for the basketball net.
Docks at Loney’s and basketball court
The docks at Loney’s have been removed for the season as of October 15.
The backboard at the basketball court is temporarily unavailable.
Memorial Benches
The Village has 2 benches located in Sand Point that could be sponsored as a memorial bench. The cost is $1,200 per bench then you would have the option to get a custom plaque designed for installation. If anyone is interested, please contact the office for further details.
Village Maps
Village maps are for sale at the office. Each map is 19″ x 25″ and they are $10.00 each for either Ward of South Lake or Ward of Sand Point.
Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
The AED has been relocated to Loney’s Point boat launch until freeze up. This is for public use but only to be used in case of emergency.
Please note that there are also ones available located inside the Community Centre at the Resort Village of Sun Valley as well as inside the workshop at the Resort Village of North Grove. Please contact a first responder or council member to gain access to these ones.
Garbage Burning
Council is requesting that no household garbage is burned in burning barrels or firepits as there are garbage and recycling bins available for use throughout the Village. Thank you for your consideration of your neighbours.
ATV’s, Golf Carts, Unregistered Vehicles
Please take note that the use of all non-registered vehicles on the streets within the Village is illegal. You can be ticketed by the RCMP under the Traffic Safety Act. Anyone using them is doing so at their own risk. Any complaints regarding them should be directed to the RCMP.
