Huge Shout Out

Council wanted to acknowledge the people/businesses that gave so generously to make our new basketball court a reality at Loney’s Point this past summer.

Thanks again, the kids have all been enjoying it and it will continue to be used for years to come!

Ice Shacks

Overnight ice shack parking is permitted in launch parking lots between March 15 and March 31 ONLY.

Seasonal/Daily launch fees now apply for using Loney’s Point and Sand Point launch sites to access the ice.  Launch passes are valid from May until March of the following year.

The Resort Village of South Lake assumes no liability concerning the condition of the ice or the launch ramps, “USE AT OWN RISK”.

Ice shacks shall be removed from parking lots by March 31.  Any shacks that are left in the parking lots after March 31 will be towed at owners risk and expense.

Memorial Benches

The Village has 2 benches located in Sand Point that could be sponsored as a memorial bench.  The cost is $1,200 per bench then you would have the option to get a custom plaque designed for installation.  If anyone is interested, please contact the office for further details.

Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

The AED has been relocated to Loney’s Point boat launch until freeze up.  This is for public use but only to be used in case of emergency.

Please note that there are also ones available located inside the Community Centre at the Resort Village of Sun Valley as well as inside the workshop at the Resort Village of North Grove.  Please contact a first responder or council member to gain access to these ones.

Garbage Burning

Council is requesting that no household garbage is burned in burning barrels or firepits as there are garbage and recycling bins available for use throughout the Village.  Thank you for your consideration of your neighbours.
